My name is Randy March. More than 25 years ago, with a basement refinishing project underway and the purchase of an incomplete family cottage, I began my apprenticeship in home improvement.

I was quite young then, with baseball and bikes on my mind, but I enjoyed nothing more than the time spent attacking a new project with my Dad, or tinkering on an odd job with my Grandpa. Besides learning skills that have served me well through the years, I also learned so many of the 'life lessons' that you just won't hear about when you take a plumbing course or read a 'How-To' guide.

Little did I know at the time, that these would be the skills I would come to rely upon every day. I still remember that a job worth doing, is worth doing well. I know that attention to detail is worth the extra effort, and I understand that good preparation often leads to good results. Thanks guys. You have inspired me to do what I love and love what I do.

Today, I take great pleasure in completing a project and reflecting on a job well done. Sure, we are more experienced, more skilled and better equipped than in those early days, but I can't help reflecting upon those wonderful memories as we embark on each new project.
